Unquestionably the 'something for everyone' mantra that is a cornerstone of Royal Caribbean's approach to the evolutionary design of its ships is taken to new heights aboard the 3,634-passenger Independence of the Seas.
Located at the heart of the vessel is the Royal Promenade. This impressive shopping, dining and entertainment boulevard is longer than a football pitch. Putting the central glass and steel descending bridge to full effect, the nightly street parades using music, lasers and lights are a cavalcade of boisterous fun; whether its 'Rock Britannia', or 'Mad Hatters Ball'. By day and night this is the focal hub of the ship.
The 1,200-seat main dining room on Independence of the Seas, crowned by a magnificent chandelier, spans three decks and is linked by a dramatic staircase. You can chose one of two sittings or opt for 'My Time Dining'. The popular, nautical-themed, Windjammer Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and casual dining. other restaurants onboard are - Chops Grille, Johnny Rockets, Giovanni's Table, Sorrento's Pizza, 24hr Room Service, Cafe Promenade & Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Shop.
