Azamara Quest cruise Athens-Civitavecchia | 02 Sep 2008 |
Dear Ruth,
Azamara Quest Athens to Civitavecchia 16-30 August 2008
My wife and I returned home last night and we both agreed that it was a very enjoyable cruise.
The Sky Suite was very good, large enough, on a high deck. Hardly any engine vibrations at all when sailing, near the pool and cafes, good view. Well recommended.
Crew (Greek, Israeli, S.American, mixed). Very polite, very helpful, ran the trip in a very professional manner. I took a Bridge Tour on the last day which was most informative and very enjoyable.
Food: The windows cafe, open for breakfast (excellent) , lunch (very good) and dinner was always very professional and we enjoyed the food there at all times. The main dining room "Discoveries" was good, well run, the large choice of food was wide ranging and well cooked and very variable. If you wanted something special, you could have it next day. Two speciality restaurants (Prime C and Aqualina) were very well run with very good food. It costs another $10 for two but it is well worth it.
Pool area was well run, small pool but very clean with showers and plenty of towels. Punctuality was excellernt at every stop and the tenders were exceedingly well crewed.
We enjoyed the smaller size of the boat (690 passengers) which meant no lines for embarking and disembarking, and no queues for the tenders. Also less crush at dinner time. The "casual" policy for dress was new to us, but we thought it a good idea. It was not abused, and generally everyone was quite smart.
We would certainly recommend the Azamara line to friends. The coach transfer on the return journey to Rome Airport was extremely well organised with a very helpful stewardess.
Yours sincerely,
Colin Levene (Suite 8065) |

Insignia Cruise 23 July to 6 August 2008 | 11 Aug 2008 |
Hi Karen
Just to say we are safely home and had a wonderful cruise. All went to plan, flights virtually on time and the luggage didn't get lost which I was worrying about with the Heathrow flights, and the taxi transfers were all there as arranged.
Thanks to you and all the staff in your office for your help in the lead up to the cruise.
Kind regards
Shirley Levy

Wonderful Service | 07 Jul 2008 |
I would like to commend your company and your agent Katie for the wonderful service that was given to my wife and myself.
The cruise included the Monaco Grand prix and although I sourced the tickets myself on the internet Katie was able to dael with the tickets agents and obtain the tickets for me.
We were particularly impressed with the airport transfers at either end of the cruise. The companies that you employed to do this supplied good quality cars with smart helpful drivers.
Please pass on my thanks to Katie for organising such a memorable time for us.

Honeymoon | 20 Jun 2008 |
Hi Kathy,
I just want to say a massive thank you for all your help over the last 8 months. I spoke to so many travel companies about our honeymoon and your service has been so much more personable than some of the bigger companies where you sit on hold for ages never getting anywhere.
Thanks so much for your patience throughout the initial decision phase and for all your help and professionalism throughout the rest of the process. I really appreciate it, especially since this is perhaps the most important holiday we will ever purchase!
I’ll be in touch next time we are planning another long haul holiday!
All the best,
JS

Silversea Cruise | 04 Mar 2008 |
Dear Katie
We have just returned from the Silversea cruise and I just wanted to thank you for the excellent organisation throughout.
We were collected on-time in Hong Kong and Singapore and returned to the airport without mishap. The hotels were both excellent value and the Pan Pacific even upgraded us to the executive floor!
Well done. Hope you can do the same with Azamara!

Pre and Post cruise hotel stays | 29 Jan 2008 |
Dear Katie,
As you are aware, I have used Atlantis Travel on many occasions, and the high level of service and friendly and helpful staff are the reason why have continually returned to use your services.
For the benefit of other Atlantis clients, I thought it might be helpful to pass on the knowledge I have acquired about extensions to cruise holidays, either at the start or finish of the holiday. Atlantis, I feel sure would be able to arrange some of the hotels/trips suggested.
For any cruise starting or finishing at ISTANBUL, we stayed at a very nice hotel called the Dersaadet [ www.hoteldersaadet.com ] This is a small boutique Ottoman hotel very close to the Blue Mosque. It has lovely views of the sea and a very friendly service. If you only have one ot two nights there, it is worth going to see a Turkish show [ typical Turkish food and drink, song and dance] The hotel will organise it [ They speak very good English] Have a look at the hotel's Sultan's suite on the internet for a honeymoon type stay. The hotel is not expensive compared to the likes of the Four Seasons which would be the obvious choice of many agents. For a tale to tell your friends back home, try staying in a luxury cave hotel at Capadoccia, about two hours flight from Istanbul. Here there are about 50 cave complexes that have been converted in hotels. If you look up any internet search engine under ' cave hotels turkey' you should find a large selection. We have stayed at two excellent hotels there, the most recent of which was the Hotel Gamirasu. [ www.gamirasu.com] There is lots to do, the scenery is spectacular, the people very friendly, the food very tasty and good value. Recommend a hot air balloon ride and a visit to ancient cave churches. Most of the hotels in Capadoccia will arrange transport to or from the airport or will arrange car hire.
SINGAPORE. Try the Banyan Tree Hotel in Bintan, about 45 minutes away by hydrofoil to this small Indonesian island. This rates as one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Lovely views and first class service. Try and book up the spa pool villa. www.banyantree.com
COSTA RICA [ Caldera ] Definitely worth a tour. We stayed in some wonderful hotels. Look at Peace Lodge at www.waterfallgardens.com and www.buenavistavillas.net If arriving at San Jose airport and you want to stay at a pretty country hotel just on the outskirts, try www.finca-rblanca.co.cr .We used a very good agent in Costa Rica [ www.costaricaholiday.co.uk ] who organised all the transport and hotels, finishing at Caldera where we joined our Seabourn cruise ship.
BANGKOK. I have tried several of the hotels here and would recommend the Peninsula. Most visitors stay at a beach resort like Phuket where there is also a very good Banyan Tree Hotel but it is worth a five day trip to Northern Thailand [ Ching Mai ] and travel around the Golden Triangle. There are many different hillside tribes around here. Each tribe has its unique colourful costume.
SOUTHAMPTON. It's only got about 6 rooms and is about an hours drive from Southampton but if you want a quaint hotel in the New Forest with excellent food and service, try www.thatched-cottage.co.uk
I shall try and let you know of other little gems that I come across and would appreciate if other clients did the same.
Kind regards,
Mike

The Hermitage - Monte Carlo | 08 Nov 2007 |
Good Afternoone Carol,
Just to say a very big thank you for your help in booking my hotel (The Hermitage) in Monte Carlo.
It was superb to say the least. We had a room with our own private patio overlooking the sea. Everything about the hotel was first class, even down to the toiletries in our bathroom - Bulgari.
The sun shone everyday, it was about 75 degrees.
If I have the chance to go away again, I will use your service without hesitation.
Thanks once again.
Kind Regards
June. |

Crystal Cruises Monte Carlo to Venice. | 20 Sep 2007 |
Dear Mrs Markovitch,
I write on behalf of myself and Particularly on behalf of my good lady friend Mrs K - for the surprisingly efficient arrangements which you organised in connection with our recent holiday with Crystal cruises voyage number 7321 sailing from Monte Carlo to Venice.
You were able to make unconventional arrangements for us to fly via british midlands to Heathrow and then to Nice prior to joining the ship at Monte Carlo.
Taxi Links from Nice to Monte Carlo and for the reverse trip from Venice dock to Monte Carlo airport were fulfilled with exemplary precision - as were all the flights.
I have to thank you most sincerely for all your efforts relating relating to our trip, this ensured that the holiday was superb, Many Thanks.
Yours Sincerely
Mr L. |

One and Only Palmilla | 14 Aug 2007 |
Julie-Ann
Apologies for the delay in sending you across this email but we wanted to drop you a line to let know you that we had a wonderful time at the One and Only Palmilla, Baja California and to say thank you for all of your excellent and enthusiastic organisation in getting us there.
You asked us to tell you what it is like? Frankly, it is exactly like the brochure.
The large pluses:
• The hotel service was excellent and friendly with attention to all details and making it a very relaxing venue;
• The airport transfer was sublime.... real service and attention to detail that made you feel very special;
• Our room was very comfortable, with plenty of space, a good sea view and quiet;
• The weather was excellent - and the heat compensated for by a sea breeze;
• The beach was very easy to access and the hotel continued its attentive, yet unobtrusive, service there;
• The spa and gym were quiet, luxurious and well equipped;
Minor things to consider:
• The wine was very expensive - I think it is a taxation issue for Mexico - prohibitively so - the cheapest bottle of plonk was around £40. We stuck to the excellent choice of margaritas (in the main);
• Although it was easy to get a taxi out from the resort, the resort restaurants were very good, but again, it was not easy just to get something cheap, quick and simple;
• It is used by the Americans for weddings - but we found the guests to be polite and unobtrusive. You did not get pushed out of the way for the wedding guests, or preparations, and were largely unaware of them.
So, thank you again - we were very impressed with the service from Atlantis Travel - and particularly from you - and will recommend you wholeheartedly.
Kind regards
Mr and Mrs |
