IBERIA’S BUSINESS PLUS CLASS: MORE COMFORT IN THE SKIES

Business Plus is the name Iberia has given to its new class for Business passengers on intercontinental routes .

In the new Business Plus Class, one of the most important aspects is the seat. Iberia chose among the best suppliers in the market to come up with a design exclusive to Iberia. The result is a great seat that reclines into a full bed, ergonomically designed, with a double back pillow to ensure the most comfortable position for the spinal column and has an additional massage function.

It also features a folding armrest, an adjustable headrest and an extendible leg rest operated from the control panel located on the armrest. Once the passenger has found the most comfortable position, this can be recorded in the seat. The seat’s rigid exterior shell provides the passenger with an overall more private space. The seat reclines upon this shell and extends into a completely flat bed. There is a space of 152cm between rows, which helps ensure the passengers relaxation and comfort on board. Individual compartments for drinks, as well as for shoes, and an adjustable intensity reading light with a privacy separator panel are other features of Iberia’s new Business Plus Class.

All accessories, including the tableware and linen, have been redesigned. The upholstery, blankets, pillows and toilet kits are made of neutral coloured fabrics that create a feeling of real warmth.

Be entertained, relax or work on board

Iberia’s new Business Plus class also includes the most advanced technological equipment. Every seat is equipped with a satellite telephone, a laptop connection port and a 10.4-inch touch screen from which passengers can send sms text and e-mail messages.

A wide range of video and audio entertainment options are available on an “on demand” basis: 15 audio channels and 20 video channels including documentaries, the latest film releases, world maps, flight data and live images taken from a camera situated on the tail of the aircraft. From the touch screen built into the seat, the passengers can choose when to start listening to music or watching a film, as well as having the option of rewinding & fast forwarding.

Mediterranean Diet and Spanish wines aboard

Iberia has always understood itself as an ambassador of the Spanish culture. In the new Business Plus class, menus are based on Spanish products and the Mediterranean diet. Iberian cured ham, salads dressed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and Spanish meats garnished with the best vegetables are accompanied by the most distinguished Spanish wines. The red wines include Ribera del Duero, Rioja and Somontano and amongst the whites are Penedés and Somontano.

In addition, the new Business Plus class cabin features a self – service bar where passengers can choose from a variety of drinks and snacks.

European Business Class

Greater space and adaptability

In Iberia’s European Business Class the middle seat will always be left unoccupied on all flights to Europe, North Africa and the Near East. So that whenever you fly with us you will do so in total comfort.

In the case of the MD-87 and MD-88 fleets which are configured with 5 seats across, the middle seat of the rows with 3 seats will be left unoccupied. The gap between rows is 34” and the inside seat width is 17”.

On Intercontinental flights complimentary catering is provided, different and exclusive to Iberia, which ensures passengers will enjoy the quality and innovation of new and varied menus, based on fresh seasonal products.
