The British Virgin Islands are a fantasyland for sailors with more than 40 (or 60 depending on who you believe) islands in an area of tame currents and protected bays with ludicrous amounts of beach to enjoy. If you do want to explore the out-islands (including the uninhabited ones) you will need to charter a boat but that's never a problem in the BVIs! So with all that beach to enjoy it's not just for sailors as the luxurious resorts are more than happy to take care of your every whim while to you take in the vista, and you can still island hop even if you don't have your own yacht. Virgin Gorda is where the movie stars and millionaire yacht owners hang out, but for all that it remains a very understated destination. As the name suggests the islands are British territories and less commercial than the US Virgin Islands "next door"
