How are package holidays financially protected?
For air holidays Atlantis Travel only deals with ATOL protected
tour operators. ATOL (Air Travel Organizers' Licence) is a
tour operators' licensing scheme operated by the Civil Aviation
Authority. ATOL protects your money against insolvency. If
an ATOL tour operator stops trading, the CAA will refund your
money. If you are on holiday it will allow you to complete
your stay and travel home as planned. If you book just a charter
flight, you'll be protected in the same way. Tour operators
providing holidays that do not involve flights provide similar
protection through their membership of ABTA.

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS
FOR ENTRY INTO THE USA
Please carefully note the following information which affects
all guests wishing to travel to the USA on the Visa Waiver
Programme. From 01 October 2003, all passengers intending
to enter the USA on the Visa Waiver Programme will be required
to present a machine readable passport (MRP). Passengers travelling
to the USA with a non-machine readable passport will require
a valid US entry visa. A MRP has the holders personal details
e.g, name, date of birth, nationality and passport number
contained in the two lines of text at the base of the photo
page. These two lines of text indicate the passport is machine
readable. Children travelling on a parent`s passport (machine-readable
or not) cannot benefit from the Visa Waiver programme. It
is strongly recommended that all guests, including children,
obtain a MRP well in advance of their departure. For further
information regarding passport and visa requirements, we recommend
that you contact the US Embassy on 0207 499 9000. The following
website also provides comprehensive information regarding
this matter www.travel.state.gov/vwp
Can I Fly when Pregnant?
As a general rule, all Tour Operators advise that up to 28
weeks of pregnancy you can travel as long as you have checked
with your GP. From 1 day over 28 weeks of pregnancy upon return
and up to 32 weeks, you must obtain a doctors' certificate
stating how many weeks pregnant you are and your due date.
It must also state that you are fit to travel. You should
take this certificate with you to the airport as you may be
asked for it at check-in. You must also check with your travel
insurance company that you are covered under your policy and
make sure that you're due date and how many weeks pregnant
you are is noted by the insurance company. Over 32 weeks of
pregnancy you cannot travel with any airline. All airlines
advise that you check with them directly before booking if
over 28 weeks pregnant. If you or any of your party is pregnant,
please check with your GP that it is all right to travel before
making any booking.
Do I need Travel Insurance?
We strongly recommend that you purchase adequate insurance
when traveling abroad. It is important to remember that some
Insurance Companies will charge a premium for cover if you
suffer from a pre existing medical condition. The provider
of Travel Insurance offered by Atlantis Travel is Preferential
Insurance. Their contact number to make a claim is 08700 130444
and the medical help line is 08705 133723
